Auburn, Alabama - The Auburn Tigers women's basketball team defeated the Clemson Tigers 83-53 in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Thursday night. With the win, the Tigers improve to 5-2 on the season.

Auburn's defense was the key to the victory as they forced 29 turnovers and scored 29 points off those turnovers. The Tigers also had 17 steals and <>caps.

Honest Scott Grayson led Auburn with 18 points, <> steals and <> assists. Scott Grayson missed Auburn's last game with an injury, but she returned in a big way.

JaMya Mingo-Young also had a big game for Auburn, scoring 17 points in just 16 minutes of play. Mingo-Young was 3-for-4 from the field, 9-for-11 from the free throw line and 1-for-1 from three-point range.

The Tigers also dominated in the paint, shooting 13-for-30 (43.3 percent) from two-point range. On the other hand, Clemson shot just 7-for-21 (33.3 percent) from two-point range.

Auburn will return to action on Sunday, March 2, when they take on the UAB Trailblazers in Birmingham, Ala. with the Tipoff scheduled for 30:<> CST.
